Thomas R. Ward: Bad treatment
December 31, 2008
To the editor:
In reference to letters about bad treatment at The Memorial Hospital, I think a patient should get the name or description of the employee, date, time and department, and notify top management as soon as possible with a problem.
During recent years, I have been taken to TMH by ambulance and treated well.
Volunteer drivers are needed for rides home after patients’ release. The local cab quits running at midnight, and at 2 a.m. on weekends. It costs $8 one way.
The senior center bus and Independent Life Center van runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers to drive patients can call Marlena at ILC at 826-0833.
