Respect school-bus loading times, zones

To the Editor,

As the new assistant principal of Moffat County High School, it has been my pleasure to see the care and concern that the community has for its children. It is reflected in the wonderful facilities, staff and community support that I have seen thus far.

I know that the community is behind a safe and secure educational environment for all of its children.

As a community of concerned and caring adults, we need to put safety before convenience.

So I am asking all citizens to respect school-bus loading, unloading and school-zone speed limits. Specifically, at Moffat County High School, student pick-up and drop-off should happen in the student parking lot or the north side (back) of the main building. Please arrange this and be clear with your children.

The lane in front of the school (south side) is restricted to bus loading from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Please respect these times and help to reduce traffic and pedestrian congestion. Students have been informed of the drop-off and pick-up locations.

Your help and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated by all, but particularly by the children.

If you have additional questions, please call me at Moffat County High School, 824-7036.

Sincerly yours,

Thom. Schnellinger

Assistant Principal, Moffat County High School
