Thefts spring up across Craig: On the Record — Aug. 13, 2018

12:16 a.m. On the 700 block of Victory Way, officers with the Craig Police responded to a report of someone stealing a cellphone from its owner’s hand and fleeing. No suspects have been identified at this time.
12:30 a.m. On the 1000 block of Pershing Street, a caller reported hearing a man stumbling outside her home. The caller wasn’t sure if it was her new neighbors. When officers arrived, they determined the man was intoxicated and took him to the hospital for detox.
3:46 a.m. On the 500 block of Lincoln Street, officers responded to a lifeline alarm. The woman with the alarm said she thought she heard someone outside her home. Officers investigated the area around the home and were unable to locate anyone.
6:07 a.m. On the 500 block of Lincoln Street, a caller reported someone had taken money from a parked, unlocked car.
6:32 a.m. On the 500 block of Colorado Street, a caller reported finding items behind her home. Officers located the property owner and returned the items.
12:57 p.m. On the 2000 block of Williams Lane, a caller reported someone stole 12 cans of spray paint from the back of a truck. Officers are investigating.
9:58 p.m. At a business on the 2000 Victory Way, a caller reported a security badge had been stolen from a vehicle.
The Victory Motors Cancer Drive saw another successful year raising money for the Moffat County Cancer Society over the weekend, surpassing $100,000 in donations.
