The Moffat County High School Leadership Council: Thanks from leadership council
To the editor:
The Moffat County High School football leadership council would like to take a moment to thank this community for its tremendous support throughout the season.
Although it didn’t turn out exactly as we had planned, the people of Craig stood behind their team, and we just want you all to know that this is appreciated more than you will ever know. We would also like to thank Dr. John and the Ilko family for the amazing fireworks show they provided during our homecoming game. The halftime show was outstanding and a highlight in a week that we will always remember.
To Jim Garoutte, who donated his free time to build the new football arch, to Pastor Rod Compton, who is the voice of the Bulldogs, to McDonalds for providing the drinks at every team dinner, and to every business in this area that supported us by decorating and/or allowing our parents to be at each game, you are why Craig is a great place to grow up in.
As always, the Moffat County Morning News and the Craig Daily Press didn’t miss a game and the guys at K27 TV and good ol’ KRAI provided coverage for those who couldn’t be in the stands.
A special thanks goes out to David Pressgrove and Moffat County Young Life. After every home game, they hosted a fifth-quarter party where we could all go to relax and have fun together, but more important, they are our friends.
Coach Hafey and the rest of the coaching staff have been there since the beginning. Their hard work and dedication to this team has helped us grow and be a team both on and off the field.
To everyone who bought a fan shirt, and to the businesses that sponsored them, it is because of you that we were able to buy the bulldog stencil that will proudly grace the football field for years to come.
There is no way that we can list all the people who have come into our lives during the past four years, but none of you will ever be forgotten.
Thank you all for your cheers and laughter and unending support. We will always look back on our high school football days and smile.
