The Memorial Hospital has new land under contract

The sale has not yet been closed, and so the contract's terms are not public

The Memorial Hospital has begun the process of purchasing two lots near the Walmart shopping center, said Jennifer Riley, chief of marketing and business development.

“The sale isn’t final,” she said. “It’s under contract.”

Riley said the land is on the northern edge of the subdivision on the west side of the entrance road to Walmart. The lots span about 131,000 square feet, and the owners are Kloos Investments, LLC and Casey Properties, Inc.

“The board is still discussing what the future use of that property would be,” Riley said. “They don’t have anything specific in mind yet.”

Riley said the terms of the contract are not public since the sale is not finalized.

“We’re supposed to close on that in July,” she said.
