The Artists of the Pop-up Gallery event: Thank you newspaper staff
To the editor:
Very often we find our preaching proves to be inconsistent with our actions, but fortunately that is not the case with the Craig Daily Press editor and staff. The artists of the Pop-up Gallery, which was held this past weekend, are grateful to the support received from our local newspaper.
In the recent Best of Moffat County issue, newspaper General Manager Renee Campbell exhorted area residents to bring their patronage to local businesses and services. It is indeed lifeblood to our local tax base and local businesses when purchases are made locally.
This last weekend many of the staff from the newspaper came by to view the work of the 18 artists represented at the highly attended gallery event held in downtown Craig. The artists would like to express their thanks not only to the general public, which so enthusiastically supported this venue, but also thanks to the Craig Daily Press staff who always are faithful to attend our various art showings throughout the year. The newspaper staff worked patiently with us through the process to design an ad for the event, and then also ran two wonderful stories about the gallery.
Thank you, Craig Daily Press, for practicing what you preach. Shop Local. It makes a difference in our community.
