Terrie Barrie: Editorial on the mark
September 15, 2008
To the editor:
Your editorial, “Mud-slinging seasons starts,” was right on the mark. I wish to offer some valuable Web sites that may help voters check out the facts themselves.
First place to start is the candidates’ Web site.
Mr. Ghirardelli, in Friday’s letter to the editor, stated that Sen. Obama does support the veterans. Voters can check out the number of veteran-related legislation introduced by either presidential candidate since 2007 at http://thomas.loc.gov.
You also can get a feel of the types of issues that are of great concern to the candidates there.
It is unfortunate that mud-slinging ads are so prevalent during an election.
