Sweet treats and sweet tunes at Art Walk in downtown Craig
February 10, 2018
CRAIG — Yampa Avenue was filled with local art, local chocolate and live music Saturday night at Craig's annual Art Walk and Taste of Chocolate in downtown Craig.
Eighteen downtown businesses hosted chocolatiers, art and music. Visitors enjoyed live music and art from across the Yampa Valley.
Tickets sold out for the Taste of Chocolate tour, which featured desserts such as strawberry chocolate mousse, chocolate cakes and chocolate cherry cheesecakes made by local chocolatiers.
"It's been a lot of fun, and the community is very nice, very personable," said Sallie Holtz, who was visiting Craig from Ironwood, Michigan. She was in town for work, and she and her friends were sad to miss out on tickets to the Taste of Chocolate.
Several local entities also held a "soft launch" of a prototype of Moffat County's new logo and slogan, and passed out shot glasses of white chocolate mousse featuring the county's new slogan, "Colorado's Great Northwest."
