Superfood Tip: Water importance

Proper hydration may not be on people’s minds this time of year. However, even though we may not be as physically active or sweating as much during winter months, adequate hydration is still more important than ever. People young and old can easily become dehydrated during the winter due to being exposed to dry heat indoors in addition to living in a dry, high altitude location. This puts us all at risk for exacerbating fatigue, illnesses such as the cold and flu, and respiratory issues in young children.

Water is this week’s superfood because it protects us from illnesses, keeps us energized, and is a great tool for weight management as it helps control our appetite.
