Superfood Tip: Replace pasta with spaghetti squash

Spaghetti squash is a healthy, low-carb alternative to pasta. Try replacing spaghetti pasta with spaghetti squash the next time you make an Italian dish at home.

To cook spaghetti squash, turn your oven to 400 degrees. Slice the squash in half and coat the inside of both halves with olive oil and a little salt.

Place the squash on a cookie sheet — the insides should be facing down — with parchment paper or foil. Cook for roughly an hour. Pull the squash out of the oven and fork out the insides. Put your favorite marinara sauce on top.
