Superfood Tip: Cauliflower
June 6, 2014
Cauliflower is emerging as the food trend of the summer. New recipes highlight the vegetable's versatility in preparation and flavor. You’ve probably have had it steamed, roasted or in a soup, but cauliflower ends up being capable of much more. The five top recipes serve cauliflower as a “steak," as the main ingredient in alfredo sauce and tabouli, as "mashed potatoes" and as a way to make a healthier mac and cheese.
These recipes with cauliflower offer meals lower in fat and calories and with a lot more fiber. Cauliflower is also high in cancer-fighting phytochemicals, folate, vitamin C and potassium.
