Super Food Tip: Bananas
When considering foods that provide the biggest nutritional bang for your buck, bananas are high on the list.
For only about 50 cents per pound, bananas are a significant source of fiber and B vitamins and a good source of calories, potassium, vitamin C, and magnesium.
In addition to bananas’ low cost and high nutrition, they are very versatile. You can enjoy them raw, in sandwiches or smoothies, and as a replacement for oil in baking. You also can freeze overly ripe bananas to use at a later date.
