Sunset Elementary School to sing for Craig seniors, veterans

The students of Sunset Elementary School will be offering some cheer to the older residents of Craig in the coming week.

Sunset preschoolers will travel to Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab at 10 a.m. Wednesday to sing for residents of the facility.

A similar presentation will take place on Veterans Day, as all students at Sunset start the morning at the school flagpole with the Pledge of Allegiance and a ceremony by local veterans. An accompanying concert by the fifth-graders will pay tribute to the men and women of the armed forces with patriotic selections like “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful” and more.

Students will also visit veterans at Sandrock Ridge later in the afternoon.
