Stay patient, win big at Saturday’s Stagecoach ice fishing tourney

The eighth annual ice fishing tournament at Stagecoach State Park runs Saturday, Jan. 5.

Steamboat Fishing Adventures hosts the eighth annual ice fishing tournament from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Stagecoach State Park.

The event includes a registration fee of $30 to compete with the day free to anglers ages 15 and younger. Registration is open until 9 a.m. the day of the tourney.

The tournament offers special prizes for largest trout and largest pike as well as thousands in cash prizes and drawings throughout the day.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit South Routt Science Club and Friends of Stagecoach State Park.

Current Colorado Parks and Wildlife fishing regulations apply to all participants and vehicles will be required to display a valid state park pass. Carpooling is encouraged because of limited parking.
