State talent auditions canceled within Moffat County; regional competitions open to all
Moffat County residents planning to participate in the competition “Colorado You Got Talent” will be unable to do so in their own area in a preliminary capacity, but the stage still will be open to them down the line.
Statewide variety show “Colorado You Got Talent” originally was scheduled to host auditions in each of the state’s 64 counties, but because of various scheduling issues with organizers, it was forced to cancel a number of these in April, especially in the western and eastern parts of Colorado.
Moffat County’s audition date was originally Saturday.
However, in order to compensate for this inconvenience, organizers will allow anyone within the western counties to automatically be part of the regional finals Sept. 20 at Mesa Theater in Grand Junction. The state finals will be held in October in Littleton for those who do well at regionals.
The contest is open to acts including musical groups, dancers, comedians, acrobats and other types of performers.
