Stacy Razzano: Manager resigns over bank’s coal stance
Recently, Bank of the West made a stance on industries they will no longer finance or support. Given these viewpoints are different than my personal beliefs, I have made the decision to resign my position as branch manager of the local Bank of West as of August 17.
I have worked at the local branch for the past 27 years. During this time, I have built numerous personal and business relationships. I support this community as the community has supported me throughout the years.
I am, in fact, a coal miner’s daughter. My dad has retired from a local coal mine after 40 years in the industry. My brother currently works for a local coal mine. I stand by the coal community and will continue to support all the hard working citizens of Moffat County.
It is unfortunate a “corporate” decision is affecting a lot of families, including the wonderful employees at Bank of the West, which I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Thank you to everyone who I have the privilege of working with throughout the years. I wish all of you the best.
Thank you from the Jeff Chamberlain family. We want to express our sincere gratitude for all the thoughts and prayers for our family.
