Sports briefs: Moffat County Young Life sponsors weekend golf tournament

Moffat County Young Life will host a golf tournament Saturday at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

The format is a four-person scramble, and the cost is $200 per team, which includes cart fees.

Registration forms are available at the Craig Daily Press, 466 Yampa Ave., or the Golf Course, 2179 Highway 394.

Tickets for Rampage in the Cage are on sale

Tickets for the upcoming Rampage in the Cage fights are available at Holistic Health & Fitness, 420 Breeze St.

Tickets cost $25 if bought in advance and are $35 at the door.

Front-row seats cost $50, regardless of when they are purchased.

The fights, which are scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 8, will feature mixed martial artists from Craig and other locations across the Western Slope. The fights are at the Moffat County Ice Arena, 600 S. Ranney St.

Equipment checkout for football is Aug. 5

Players in the Craig Parks and Recreation Doak Walker Football league can check out equipment for the upcoming season at 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at City Hall, 300 E. Fourth St.
