Sports briefs: MCHS baseball coach resigns

Moffat County High School boys varsity baseball coach Tim Hafey verbally has resigned from the team, school officials said.

Matt Ray, athletic director, said Hafey resigned last week but that he had not received a written letter.

Ray said the team would not move forward with a formal search for Hafey’s replacement until the written letter is received.

Hafey was the skipper for the boys baseball team for two years. During this past season, the team had a 3-15 record.

The cost is $25 for 4- to 5-year-olds, and $40 for ages 6 to 13.
