Sports briefs for May 4

The Moffat County rodeo team competed in Pueblo Saturday and Sunday.

The team finished the weekend with nine top-10 finishes.

Top finishers in the rodeo Saturday were: Brandon Whitaker, 10th in calf roping; Kendel Fawcett, seventh in pole bending, 10 in goat tying, 10th in barrel racing; Tia Brannan; ninth in barrel racing.



For Sunday the top finishers were: Becky White, third in breakaway roping, third in pole bending; Fawcett, fifth in goat tying, fifth in breakaway roping.

The next rodeo for the team is in Henderson and is hosted by the Adams County Superstars.
