No open gym night on Thanksgiving

Craig Parks and Recreation will not host an open gym night on Thursday in observation of Thanksgiving. The holiday will not interfere with the Tuesday night open gym, which will still be offered.

Open gym takes place at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Craig Middle School gym, 915 Yampa Ave.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Attendees will be able to practice their skills on the court and, depending on the level of participation, arrange games.

Participants do not need to plan games ahead of time. Use of the gym is based on who shows up each night.

Open gym nights will be every week through Feb. 17, excluding major holidays. Pre-registration is not required for this activity and it is open to ages 15 and older.

For more information, call Pam Maneotis at 826-2004.
