Sports briefs: Bomba wins City Championship

Nick Bomba not only helped Richard Padon, Brett Etzler and Justin Gallegos win the McGladrey qualifying golf championship Sunday in Brighton, he also has recaptured his title during the City Championships.

With a 150, Bomba was first in his gross and captured his fourth City Championship at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

Kevin Peck was second gross with 141, and Dan Brown was third gross with 154.

BC Chong was first net with 133, Taylor Branstetter was second with 134, and Rodney Branstetter and Rick Rayl tied for third with 138.

Amber Nicholson won the City Championship for the women by shooting 157 gross.

Susan Utzinger was second gross with 172.

Susan Nicholson was first net with 144, followed by Lena Hanson with 156.

5th- and 6th-grade Doak Walker schedule
