Mentality must go

Carl Chapman’s letter to the editor was right about the need for a county manager. We keep electing people who are not qualified to do this job as county commissioners. You need professionals to run a business this big and complex.

Look at Routt County; they have a county manager and $19 million in the bank. Moffat County is broke and keeping its employees in the poor house. This ranching mentality of the people we keep electing needs to go. This is a real business.

The commissioners need to share some of their power with a professional and get Moffat County back on track.

Reporter clap

With all this clap about who said what to reporters in Washington, I think reporters should be required to warn those they interview that whatever they say might be used against them in a court of law and that they’re entitled to an attorney.
