Congratulations to Paul and Raelynn Prestrud on the birth of their daughter, Hope Marie. Hope was born on Nov. 4, 1999, in Denver and weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 17 1/2 inches long. Hope was welcomed home by her sister, Karlene. A baby shower was held Nov. 16.
Successful night
Despite the winter weather the Hiawatha Rebekah Lodge No. 21 had a successful night of bingo on Nov. 20. The poker room had one table going, and players seemed to be enjoying themselves. The Rebekah’s appreciate the support of the community and would like to thank everyone for turning out on such a snowy evening.
Thinking of you
Thoughts are with several residents who have been ill and in the hospital or just feeling under the weather with the flu: Laura Salisbury, Don Bain, Dale Henderson, Mary Henderson, Ann Hutton and Dorothy Thomas. We wish each and everyone a speedy recovery.
FFA trees
Unfortunately, a long-time tradition of cutting Christmas trees for the community is no longer possible; however, friends, members and their families of the Little Snake River FFA chapter will still folllow the tradition in fellowship as they gather Nov. 28 to cut Christmas trees for themselves and enjoy a cookout. The group will meet at 9 a.m. at the school and may purchase tree permits for $10 each with a limit of five permits.
