Snake River tid bits
November 10, 1999
The annual Little Snake River Valley Christmas Bazaar that was scheduled for last weekend has been postponed until Dec. 11. Tables for vendors may be reserved by calling the school at 383-2185. The money for the tables in the past has been used to provide a scholarship by the Little Snake River Valley School principal. With this added time we hope there will be more tables and a wide variety of items to buy. The high school basketball teams will be hosting SoRoCo, so visit the bazaar and attend the games.
Bingo, poker night
Hiawatha Rebekah Lodge No. 21 will host its annual pre-Thanksgiving bingo and poker night at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Dixon Lodge Hall. This is a great night of family entertainment and helps the lodge raise money for its many projects throughout the year. The ladies also have concessions with great homemade pies. So don’t go buy a turkey, come out and win one.
Church says thanks
The Snake River Community Church would like to thank everyone over the past several months who had any part in our financial effort for the scheduled mission trip to Mexico. Members are truly amazed at everyone’s generosity; especially to John and Midge Mixon for letting the youth use the car wash Oct. 24. Thanks again to everyone.
