Senior Spotlight for November 12, 2012.

Mary Jo Brown

When I turned my TV on last night, thinking I had the weather channel on, when Santa Clause’s smiley figure came on. I watched the story awhile and it was a new one for me, but enjoyable. It made me more aware of how close Christmas Day was.

So my daughter Jane and I decided I better get more cards to send and get busy. I have most of my Christmas Cards sent out of state and to Denver and surrounding areas.

When some of the residents go to nursing homes or their family relocate I keep up with them for as long as they answer my cards and letters. Each year i delete some, add some.

Whether here in Craig or out somewhere in this good ole United States, in my case relative, friend or someone I think needs to know someone cares, remains as someone special, so I got to do as Santa does and check my list. Don’t want to leave anyone out.

Happy Birthday to Justin Gallegos, Vicki Gallegos and Toni Cole.

Get Well Soon — Speedy Recovery to Ramona Ingrams and all of you who are recovering, etc.

On this day I will ask you please say a prayer for our service men and women who are away from home and are servinh our country, or have served and are in recovery, etc somewhere. I ask for God’s Blessing and protection for Zach Green, Greg Skelton, Brad Skelton, PFC Dylan Correia, Sgt. Matthew C. Gordon, their fellow troops and all who serve.

No meal, no bus Monday, Nov. 12 at Sunset Meadows I due to Veteran’s Day.

Sunset Meadows I Potluck Friday at noon. Bingo may follow.

News, etc. is welcome.

Thanks,

Mary Jo Brown
