Senior Spotlight for Monday, Dec. 19, 2011
Time went by so fast this past week.
I finally got around to doing my Christmas cards. I got a lovely card from Laura Swanson — she’s still in Lingle, Wyo., and doing well. She sends her regards to all of her friends, etc., here in Craig.
I really enjoy the cards I get. I get caught up with my friends who have moved. I don’t do email.
Maybe some day I will. I also realized my shopping time was almost at point zero. I’m not doing much of that.
I guess Christmas is still Christ’s birthday. Give him presents by going to church, being kind to someone you don’t particularly care for, smiling more, and/or feeding someone. Remember, He is part of all of us. Say a thank you prayer.
Jesus is the reason for the season. Enjoy the time, and have a more relaxed feeling.
Happy birthday to Elsie Henry, Earl Kline, Ron Hall, Tony Gallegos, and Paul Tabor, Jr.
Winter officially begins Thursday, which is also supposed to be the longest day of the year. Also, days begin to get longer light-wise.
Christmas Eve is Saturday. The noon potluck is scheduled for Friday at Sunset Meadows I.
There will be no meals or bus service Dec. 26 or 27 due to the Christmas holiday.
The McDonalds senior breakfast is scheduled for Dec. 28.
News is always welcome.
