Senior Spotlight for May 16, 2011

It’s been another busy weekend-type month.

Easter, Mother’s Day, honoring our veterans, graduation, etc. Raining, snowing, cold wind blowing, the beat goes on.

One thing about the weather, it is invigorating. To do or not to do, that is the question. Hey, why not?

June is around the corner, new days, new dates, etc.

I have birthdays for Charles Gallegos, Madisyn Van Grandt, Judy Wheeler, Linda Herrera, George Davidson, Laura Perry, Roy Wagner and Daniel Tabor.

Get well/speedy recovery to Dorothy Tabor, Avis Lushbaugh, Ronnie Vincent, Aviva Weinstein and Storei Wheeldreyer.

Remember, Armed Forces Day is May 21.

The Sunset Meadows I noon potluck is scheduled for Friday. Bingo follows. Come join us.

The AARP meeting is at 2 p.m. May 23 at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

The AARP safe driving program is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 19 at Sunset Meadows I in the rec room. The cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members.

For more information, call Beverly Chapman at 824-5123.
