Senior Spotlight for July 17

Mary Jo Brown

— July is watermelon month to me. I eat more watermelon in July than any other time. I could easily become a watermelon addict! But due to health reasons I have to put a limit on it.

Relay for Life is a very good thing. I am a cancer survivor – three times. There’s a lot of my family members who have had various kinds of cancer. Let’s not put a damper on helping Relay for Life. Like me, let’s get on with fighting cancer and celebrating birthdays. This week I have Tisa Moore, Ina Rollins and Peter Forbes. Get well/speedy recovery to Shannon Arthur, Shirley Smith, Page Bell and Tammy Willis.

The wellness clinic is at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Meadows I.

The senior potluck is at noon Friday at Sunset Meadows I. See ya here!
