Senior Spotlight for Jan. 23, 2012

I like to watch game shows.

“Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” are two of the regulars I watch. “Are You Smarter than a Fifth-Grader” was another.

I can’t find anyone who knows if it’s changed time slots or is not on anymore.

I’m not a person who watches any kind of what I call horror, cult or stuff like “Buffy,” “Harry Potter,” “Ghost Whisperer,” etc., which seems to be the in thing right now.

That’s a person’s choice, of course.

I’ll watch “Ice Road Truckers,” “Wipe Out,” “Redneck Vacation,” or a variety of stuff like that.

Enjoy your own choices.

I’ll keep looking for game shows. One thing’s for sure — I can always watch my VHS or DVDs if there isn’t something better on.

Happy birthday to Jane Brown, Kathy Talkington, Sharon Bell and Daniel Piper.

Get well/speedy recovery to Clarence Yonkers, Dolores Cummins, Dan Wood, Ernie Garcia, Dan McIntyre, Carlos Sarigoza, Ethan Yoast and Elaine Bradley.

The McDonald’s senior breakfast is Wednesday.

The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

Announcements, birthdays, get well wishes/speedy recovery wishes and all other news is always welcome.

Call me and let me know at 824-2139.

Thanks, and have a great week.

Mary Jo Brown
