Senior Spotlight for Dec. 5, 2011

The Sunset Meadows halls got decorated this past week, so we’re decked out for Christmas in whatever anyone felt like decorating their section in.

There’s a talking moose head on my door and poinsettias on my corner table.

There are decorations on the residents’ tree, which was put up and decorated Saturday by some of the residents.

So, Christmas time is in full swing and the carols are being sung. Join in the merriment while you can — Christmas won’t be around for too long.

I have birthdays this week for Kathy Hayes, Clem Mascarenas, Mary Lou Hall, Ron LaSalle and anyone else I missed this week.

Get well/speedy recovery to Tillie Gallegos, Sharon Acord, Craig Tomke, Linda Marquez, Linda Sandoval and Clela Tripe.

Christmas for Seniors applications are still available for any Moffat County resident 62 years old or older.

Dec. 10 is the last day applications may be turned in. Information is confidential.

For more information, call Margaret at Christmas for Seniors at 620-7188 or email her at

The noon potluck is scheduled for Friday at Sunset Meadows I. Bingo begins at 1 p.m.

News, etc., is always welcome. Call me at 824-2139.
