Senior Spotlight for April 26, 2013

The greatest thing I have discovered about myself lately is an increasing belief that I can overcome the challenges I have faced since my health has caused changes in my physical ability to get things done. No, I am not “hale and hearty” — there is still a long way to go before I achieve that.

The discovery is that if I truly believe and try hard enough, I can get things done that I once was afraid to try. If I want it done my way, the best thing to do is do it myself, so I try and often am successful. I know everyone has their own way of doing things because we are, after all, individuals. The best way to find out who I am is to do some soul searching, and through my love for Jesus, my family and my determination to better my health, faith and outlook on life, by golly, I believe I’ll get ’er done.

Happy birthday greetings go out to Clara Stewart, Penny Burch, Vivian Bishop, Ruth White and Mary Fresquez.

Get well and speedy recovery wishes to Percy Martinez, Annie Montes, Mary Garcia, George Palma, Della Baldwin, Morton Albert and Blake Smith.

Today is the noon potluck at Sunset Meadows. I hope to see you there.
