Senior Spotlight for April 25, 2011

I was listening to a father from a monastery, who was asked what he did all day. How can you do the same things over and over every day, someone asked.

The father answered. Our lives aren’t so different from yours in a lot of ways, he said.

He continued.

We get up, eat breakfast, do our work. We are all given gifts of talent. Some are gifts to do outside work in the fields, some is housework, some is taking care of the sick and so on.

Education also plays a part in our younger members. We live an ordered life, he said.

Always remember to lead a life closer to Christ.

Previously I had an idea of what they did, but I soon saw how much they did and they all are doing the most in the fact that they are truly dedicated to Christ.

Hope you all had a very good Easter.

Happy birthday to Ruth White and Larry Keller.

Get well/speedy recovery to Alma Tucker, Tillie Gallegos, Stella Johnson, Walt Cisar and Coleen Baurer.

The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. The senior blood draw is Thursday at Sunset Meadows II, 595 Ledford.
