Senior Social Center: Sock Hop success

To the editor:

The Sock Hop Dance and fundraiser held by the Senior Social Center on Nov. 1 was a great success. People of all ages came out to enjoy music, dancing, hot dogs and root beer floats. The Senior Social Center would like to thank all the individuals and businesses that helped us with our inaugural fundraiser. We would like to thank Frank Hanel for donating his time, music and equipment. Without that it would have been hard to have a dance. We would like to thank the following businesses who donated door prizes and food: Cindy’s Salon, Fiesta Jalisco, McDonalds, Village Inn, Walgreens, Vallarta’s, Pizza Hut, Spirit Pass, Murdoch’s, Flower Mine and Gift Shop, City Market, Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, Walmart and Brothers Meats. We also would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this event happen. The Senior Social Center is a grass roots non-profit organization, run by seniors, for the Senior Citizens of Moffat County.
