A small section of West First Street between Clay Avenue and Commerce Street was closed Thursday morning to allow two large cranes to turn and remove the semi truck that rolled into a ditch Wednesday.

Traffic is being rerouted via West Third Street. It is possible to access all nearby businesses and crews expect to have the road reopened later today.

Emergency responders were on the scene Wednesday when a semi truck rolled off West First Street into a ditch.

The incident happened about 7 p.m. and Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Police Department, Craig Fire/Rescue and Memorial Regional Health Emergency Medical Services were present.

The driver was safely taken from the truck and did not appear to have any serious injuries and was transported to MRH, but it is not yet clear how the vehicle rolled off the road.
