School boundaries again top list of action items for Moffat County School District Board of Education
CRAIG — When it meets later in the week, the Moffat County School District Board of Education is expected to take action to approve school attendance boundaries for the 2018-19 school year and amend a letter of credit.
The regular monthly board of education work session begins at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, followed by the board meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Both the work session and the meeting will be held in the boardroom of the Yampa Building,
During the work session, school board members will receive an update on the 2018-19 budget; hear presentations on school law, the configuration of the board of education and attendance boundaries for Maybell; and hear a talk by Tina Goar, of Northwest Colorado Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
The board also plans to hold two executive sessions.
• The first, per C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(f), is to discuss personnel matters relative to teacher non-renewals.
• The second, per C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(f), is to discuss personnel matters relative to the superintendent’s evaluation and contract.
During the meeting, the board will also receive reports on school athletics and activities and from the superintendent.
