School board, Ververs plan Sunday retreat

Meeting will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday

— A Moffat County Board of Education retreat is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, entitled “Getting to know interim superintendent Dr. Morris Ververs, looking at the future of the district.” The meeting will take place in the Board Room of the Administration Building.

After Thursday’s school board meeting, Ververs said he wanted to arrange a retreat for relationship building time with the board.

Ververs said such a retreat would, by law, need to be a public meeting, but added: “I hope it is private, because it’s a relationship-building time, and you don’t do that very well on the public stage.”

Ververs has accepted Moffat County School District’s offer to work as an “independent contractor consultant, to aid the district in the superintendent search,” Board of Education President Darrell Camilletti said.
