Scam targeting CDP classified customers

The Craig Daily Press has received reports that a man pretending to be from the Daily Press has contacted some of the newspaper’s classified advertising customers claiming that he is trying to verify credit card numbers.

The Daily Press wants the public to be advised that it does not contact customers to verify credit card information.

Police are investigating the alleged scam.
