Monday, Dec. 24
2:49 a.m. Near the 200 block of South Colorado Highway 13, officers with the Craig Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious incident and investigated.
10:21 a.m. On the 1900 block of Woodland Avenue, officers assisted other agencies with a structure fire. The fire resulted in the death of a 3-year-old child.
9:48 p.m. On the 1700 block of East U.S. Highway 40, officers responded to a crash resulting in property damage. One driver was issued a citation.
11:44 p.m. On the 700 block of East Victory Way, officers responded to a call requesting assistance with a drunken older man dressed as Santa Claus who was asked to leave Kum & Go. When officers arrived, the jolly elf was nowhere to be found.
Tuesday, Dec. 25
2:12 a.m. On the 700 block of Pershing Street, officers arrested a 26-year-old Craig man on suspicion of third-degree assault.
10:55 a.m On the 500 block of Colorado Street, officers arrested a 26-year old Craig man on a warrant alleging false reporting to an authority.
11:59 a.m. On the 600 block of School Street, officers investigated a theft report.
1:52 p.m. On the 400 block of Rose Street, officers investigated a theft report. A compound bow was taken from a shed.
8 p.m. On the 300 block of Woodbury Street, officers received a report of shots fired. Upon investigation, it was determined the noise was from firework detonated from Thompson Hill.
9:35 p.m. On the 2200 block of West Third Street, officers arrested a 47-year-old Craig woman on suspicion of third-degree assault and menacing with a weapon.
Wednesday, Dec. 26
8:40 a.m. On the 2000 block of West Victory Way, officers were able to prevent a money scam.
12:25 p.m. At Loaf ‘N Jug, officers confiscated a counterfeit $100 bill.
1:29 p.m. On the 1100 block of East U.S. 40, officers investigated a report of stolen jewelry.
3:10 p.m. On the 200 block of Baker Street, officers responded to a crash resulting in property damage. A driver reportedly hit a parked car.
3:18 p.m. Near the intersection of Crescent Drive and Riford Road, officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash. A fire hydrant was damaged but is expected to survive.
7:52 p.m. On the 1100 block of Rose Street, officers investigated suspicious activity. A person was reported as having accessed a mailbox and opened some mail.
