Sandy Orgoglioso: One’s word is one’s bond

To the editor:

Collin Smith’s article concerning Lex Burton talked of the old and the new and the changes over time. One thing should never change – that a man’s word is his bond.

The city gave its word to Lex that he could keep his horses for his lifetime and, his neighbors support that, as well.

Even if, by so-called modern standards, a decision to allow horses on Lex’s property is considered old fashioned, I trust the city will make the right decision.

After all, the city’s word should absolutely be its bond.
