Salespersons at city pool too aggressive : On the Record — Aug. 1

1:47 a.m. On the 300 block of Rose Street, Craig Police Department officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance. Officers determined no crime had been committed.

9:51 a.m. On the 500 block of Victory Way, officers investigated a report of a drunken man walking around. Upon arrival, officers could not locate the man.

9:59 a.m. On the 500 block of Yampa Avenue, a man reportedly attempted to purchase a firearm and was denied following a background check. Officers are investigating.

10:44 a.m. On the 70 block of Commerce Street, officers recoverd a lost bicycle.

1:15 p.m. At a business in the 1400 block of Victory Way, officers investigated a report of a customer possibly consuming alcohol. Officers arrived, asked the customer to pour out the drink, and issued a warning.

4:44 p.m. At the Craig City Pool, a caller reported a suspicious group of people were trying to sell magazines using aggressive sales tactics. Officers took a report.

5:31 p.m. On U.S. Highway 40, a business reported receiving numerous harassing calls. Officers took a report.

7:04 p.m. On the 600 block of Russell Street, a caller reported a verbal disturbance regarding property. Officers warned both parties.

7:37 p.m. On the 300 block of Third Street, officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant for failure to appear. The person named in the warrant later turned herself in to the Moffat County Sheriff's Office.

9:05 p.m. At the intersection of Sixth and Rose streets, officers issued warnings to three bicyclists.
