Runners chase balloons during Friends of Moffat County Education’s Elevate Education 5K

Activity was on the rise Saturday morning in Loudy-Simpson Park.
The Elevate Education 5K and One-Mile Fun Run saw more than 100 runners hit the trail during the launching of hot air balloons at Moffat County Balloon Festival.
Winning the elementary division were Will Tucker and Vyvien Williams, while the top middle school runners were Boden Reidhead and Lilliana Williams.
As incoming freshmen at Moffat County High School this fall,Logan Hafey and Emma Jones won the high school group. Among ages 19 to 34 — the “Not Old Yet” division — were winners Arthur Rinker and Sara Linsacum, while the 35 to 54 subset — “Mature” — was won by Jeremy Browning and Elizabeth Tucker.
Kim Reece and Sandy Buckner won the race’s “Experienced” section.
