A book by a late local author is now available for purchase at area museums.

“Remembering Mount Harris,” written by former Saturday Morning Press columnist Chuck Mack, chronicles the history of Mount Harris, its coal mines and Mack’s recollections of growing up in the coal mining town.

His wife, Alberta Mack, said the book is now available at Wyman Museum and the Museum of Northwest Colorado in Craig; Hayden Heritage Center in Hayden; Tread of Pioneers Museum in Steamboat Springs; and Tracks and Trails Museum in Oak Creek.

The book encompasses 236 pages and includes photographs.

It sells for $19.95.
