Things are already rolling for the inaugural spring season of Craig Soccer Club, as part of a satellite program with Steamboat Soccer Club.

Following an informational meeting April 9, the organization is accepting applications for the upcoming schedule.

The program will offer teams for multiple age groups based upon the number of interested players. Teams may be coed or gender specific based on the number of participants. Organizers are looking to fill spots in the following age divisions:

• U9-U10 — Players born in 2009-2010

• U11-U12 — Players born in 2007-2008

• U13-U14 — Players born in 2005-2006

The season will run from May 14 to June 8 with 90-minute practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Woodbury Sports Complex. Practice times are still being finalized.

Games will take place June 1 in Steamboat and June 8 in Craig as the two towns face off on the field.

Registration is required prior to play and is $95 per player, with a minimum of $45 due at the time of registration. Registration must be completed by May 5, and any remaining balance is due May 10.

Scholarships are available, with forms available at Steamboat Soccer Club’s website. The application with scholarship form must be submitted before the start of the season.

Players will receive a training jersey at the beginning of the season. All players are expected to provide their own cleats, shin guards and bring their own ball to practices. Ages 12 and younger use a Size 4 ball, while ages 13 and 14 use a Size 5.

Organizers are hiring local coaches to oversee teams, and interested parties should email
