Ray, Cyndee, Caleb and Chayton Owens: No. 10 on wish list accomplished

— To the editor:

We would like to thank some special people who made getting through a difficult time a lot easier.

Thank you to the VNA nurses for their special attention and care of Cassie. A sincere thank you to Grant Mortuary for their compassionate help. Thanks also to Ridgeview Elementary School for all of the great food. Thank you to Dan Shaffer and the Mites at First Christian Church for your help with the funeral. Thanks to Pastor Steve Wallace for the many things he did for us.

Most of all, thanks to our families and friends for the support and love.

Unfortunately, Cass didn’t get to do the things on her “top ten list for when I am cancer free.”

We want to make sure we honor No. 10 on the list, which was “write a letter to the paper telling everyone how wonderful this town has been to me and my family.”

We have been so blessed by so many people in Craig. Thanks again to everyone for the prayers, the support of her auction last spring, the cards and letters to us and the delicious meals.

Your generosity to Cassie’s Memorial Scholarship fund is truly appreciated by us and the future recipients.

This is a great place to live and work.

Sincerely,

Cassie’s family – Ray, Cyndee, Caleb and Chayton Owens
