Pueblo police seek former resident as suspect

Pueblo police are looking for a former Craig resident who is accused of killing his wife in Pueblo last week.

Duane Edward Manzanares, 38, is being sought in connection with the shooting of his wife and a 19-year-old man last Wednesday.

Erica Manzanares, 30, died from the shooting. David Bryant,19, is in serious condition at an area hospital from the shooting.

The accused faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Pueblo Dep-uty Chief John Ercul said police don’t think the suspect is in the Craig area, but that hasn’t been ruled out as a possibility.

The suspect and his family lived in Craig until January. Pueblo police said the suspect is from the Pueblo area.

Ercul said police are compiling information about the case and hope to soon find the suspect.

“We’re getting quite a bit of calls and following up on every single one,” he said.

Anyone with information should call Moffat County Crime Stoppers 824-3535 or the Pueblo Police Department at 719-553-2538.
