Police raid motel, arrest Craig man

Officers arrested a Craig man and a female juvenile after a raid early Wednesday morning at the Craig Motel.

Paul Romero Mendoza, 38, was arrested after police obtained a search warrant for Room 28, where the man allegedly had been staying, according to a release from the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was arrested on charges of driving under res–traint, possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.



Sgt. Rick Holford of the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office said officers ob—-tained a search warrant after getting information from someone who suspected drug activity in the room.

The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, Grand, Routt and Moffat County Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Craig Police Department participated in the search, according to the release.
