Pat Relaford: Two words: ‘Slow down’

In response to Mr. Wolschon’s letter, and in his own words, a fast-blowing sleet/snow storm that instantly iced the roads. How are the city employees to instantly sand all the roads and intersections in town? I have two words for you: Slow down.

In Colorado, you need to drive defensively, depending on road conditions.

I also drove at 11:30 a.m. that day, and yes, it was very slick. I also drove about 45 minutes later, and it wasn’t slick. So just how can the city employees be expected to take care of that? There is an employee on call all the time. They go out in the middle of the night, on holidays and weekends when they are needed. They do the best job they can, and I would like to commend them for that.
