Party Patch up and running in Craig

If parties are fun, then setting them up should be enjoyable, too.

That’s part of the philosophy behind a new business in town.

The Party Patch, owned by Richard and Gayle Kendall of Craig, is open.

Party Patch offers party rentals such as tables, chairs and canopies.

The company has set up a few parties. But the business in the very early stages, Gayle Kendall said.

Although Party Patch hasn’t advertised heavily, the business is fielding calls from people who need party supplies, she said.

She has booked three weddings, she said.

Gayle Kendall said she got the idea for the business last year when some of her friends’ children were getting married.

The families had a tough time finding enough chairs and tables to rent in Craig, she said.

Gayle Kendall said she also had a friend who, in the past, decorated for parties and was selling all of her equipment.

Gayle Kendall bought the decorations from her friend along with tables and chairs, and Party Patch was born.

Gayle Kendall said she hopes to eventually connect her clients to caterers and bands for their weddings.

For now, the Kendalls are running the business out of their home.

Fun and Games

Fun and Games celebrated its grand re-opening at its new location Saturday.

The store, which sells board games, card games and collectibles, moved from 33 W. Victory Way to 19 W. Victory Way, just a few doors down.

Shortly before the move, Brid–gette Harris, the store’s owner, said the new location would be more conducive to hosting gaming tournaments.
