Friday, July 10

In the 800 block of Yampa Avenue, officers responded to a report of a found bicycle.

In the 500 block of Ledford Street, officers responded to a report of a stolen cell phone. The investigation is ongoing.



Saturday, July 11

In the 500 block of School Street, officers responded to a report of a stolen bicycle.



In the 900 block of East Victory Way, officers responded to the lobby of the Public Safety Center for a report of a found California driver’s license.

Sunday, July 12

In the 400 block of Yampa Avenue, officers responded to a disturbance in progress. A woman was arrested for third-degree assault.

In the 1400 block of Yampa Avenue, officers responded to a cold hit and run traffic accident. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, July 13

In the 900 block of West First Street, a man was arrested on charges of violating a restraining order, trespassing and domestic violence.

In the 600 block of Rose Street, an officer took a report of a threat.

In the 2600 block of Highway 40 a man, was arrested on charges of menacing, domestic violence, false imprisonment, third-degree assault and robbery.

Code Enforcement

In the 200 block of Commerce Street, code enforcement received a complaint of tall grass and weeds. A voicemail was left informing the property manager of the violations.

In the 300 block of Hawthorne, there were complaints of tall grass and weeds at two locations. There was also an appliance in the driveway on one property; and junk items including furniture at the second property. Door hanger warnings were left at both properties.

In the 1400 block of Heather Street, code enforcement received a complaint of tall grass and weeds. Junk was also observed in the driveway and yard including vehicle parts and pieces, furniture and other miscellaneous items. A small red passenger vehicle was in the driveway on jacks and had no tires with no visible registration. The property owner was contacted and advised of the violations.

In the 300 block of Ranney Street, code enforcement received a complaint of tall grass and weeds. An administrative warning was mailed to the property owner.

In the 500 block of Colorado Street, code enforcement received a complaint of junk and litter. The property owner was contacted and given a verbal warning.

In the 600 block of Tucker Street, code enforcement received a complaint of weeds and a junk vehicle. The property owner was issued a written warning.

Moffat County Jail

Thursday, July 9

Thomas Ray Valasquez, 61, of Maybell, was booked into Moffat County Jail on a warrant for contempt of court.

Friday, July 10

Charles Allen Joseph Hooker, 29, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail on suspicion of crimes against an at-risk adult or juvenile.

Sunday, July 12

Gilbert Gonzalez, 50, of Alberton, Montana, was booked into Moffat County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence and speeding.
