Part of the road to Elkhead Reservoir slid off the hillside it’s built on earlier this year, reducing about 50 feet of the road to one lane for both directions of traffic. The portion that is damaged is part of Routt County Road 86, less than a mile after Moffat County Road 29 ends.

Routt County road and bridge officials plan to speak to the Moffat County Commission at its Aug. 11 meeting about the issue
